Step 2: Download the application

From the releases page, find the latest version and click the download link to get the Foreman plugin.

Step 3: Run the plugin

Foreman is a Claude Code plugin and Agent Skill. After downloading, you install it as you would any software tool. Open your Claude Code app, go to the plugins section, and select "Install Plugin from File." Choose the downloaded Foreman plugin and follow the on‑screen instructions. Your assistant will automatically process the playbook once installed.

Once Foreman is installed, open your Claude Code session and type a command like: "run foreman build." Foreman will then guide you through a sequence of phases:

🔍 Phase 1: Interview (The Who, What, Why)

Foreman asks you a series of questions about the website you want:

Who is the target audience?
What type of website – portfolio, business, personal, or documentation?
What is your preferred color scheme, font style, and overall mood?
Any specific features needed (contact form, project gallery, blog)?

You don't need to know anything technical – just provide honest answers. Foreman structures your choices into a clear plan.

🎨 Phase 2: Design Lock (Visual System)

Based on your answers, Foreman locks a visual system:

Color palette – Primary, secondary, and accent colors.
Typography – Headings, body, and link styles.
Layout – Navigation, hero section, grid, and spacing.
Icons & Media – Decide if you want images, diagrams, or icons.

This prevents scope creep, so all future decisions fit into your already approved design.

📝 Phase 3: Build Brief

Foreman writes a build brief – a clear document that tells your coding agent exactly what to build:

Your coding agent reads this brief and starts building the site.
