📖 What is SoulX-Singer-Eval?

SoulX-Singer-Eval is a simple tool designed to help you test and compare singing voice synthesis. It lets you check the quality of computer-generated singing without needing any programming skills.

This program works as an evaluation suite for zero-shot singing voice synthesis. That means it can assess singing voices created by AI models, even ones it has not seen before. The goal is to help developers and hobbyists understand how well these voices sound.

1. Download the Software

• macOS users: Look for a .dmg or .zip file labeled with "mac"

2. Install on Your Computer

Once downloaded, follow the instructions for your operating system:

• Windows:

  • If you downloaded a .exe file, double-click it and follow the prompts to install.
  • If you downloaded a .zip archive, right-click and choose "Extract All". Open the extracted folder and run the .exe inside.

• macOS:

  • If you have a .dmg file, double-click to open it. Drag the SoulX-Singer-Eval app to your Applications folder.
  • If it’s a .zip, double-click to unzip, then move the app to Applications.

• Linux:

  • For .AppImage, right-click the file, choose "Properties", then "Permissions" and allow executing. Double-click to run.
  • For .tar.gz, extract the files, then open a terminal inside that folder to run the app.

3. Run the Program

Start the app by double-clicking the icon on your desktop or in your applications folder.

You will see the main window, where you can load or create singing voice samples for evaluation.

This suite offers tools to listen and score singing voices created by AI. Here’s how to begin:

Load Samples

Click the "Open Sample" or "Import" button to add singing voice files. Supported formats include .wav and .mp3.
