A map of applied AI engineering: its techniques and approaches, each placed near what it grew out of.
How it was charted
Claude Opus drafted the starting point: the regions, the landmarks and the lineage between them. Each region then went through a Gemini Deep Research run to flesh it out. A final pass with Opus merged and enriched the results.
