WHAT IS THE SENTENCE?

A strange little internet experiment.

One sentence is released into the world. Every person gets one irreversible choice: change one word.

Your sentence becomes a permanent branch. Someone else can inherit it and make another change. Tiny human choices grow into a history nobody, including its creator, can predict.

It isn’t about writing the cleverest sentence.

What survives when one sentence passes through a million humans?

Some branches stop here. Others travel through hundreds or thousands of people. Words disappear, reappear and converge. Nothing is planned.

At exactly one million accepted changes, The Sentence stops accepting new words. Forever.

The living game becomes a museum: the complete branching history of one sentence and a million irreversible decisions.

Until then, nobody knows what it becomes.
That is the point.

Your accepted sentence and its ancestry are public and permanent. Sharing is optional.

We use a private first-party cookie, a human challenge and automated contextual safety checks to deter repeated or automated participation and protect the experiment. These safeguards cannot prove biological identity.

Unsafe content may be hidden from public view while its place in the lineage remains.

If you leave an email after your turn, it stays private and is used only once, when The Sentence ends, to show you what became of your branch. It is never public or used for marketing.
