Learn a language as fast as a polyglot
Supercharge your learning with Atlas Runa's intelligent learning system.
Most language learners get stuck and never achieve fluency. Why?
It often happens like this.
-
The Honeymoon
Fresh start, clean streak. You're finally doing this.
-
The Vocab Ceiling
You learn a few hundred words, nothing real is readable.
-
Listening
You master the quiz audio. Native talk still blurs past.
-
Writing
You know the rules on paper, freeze when you have to output.
-
Speaking
You open your mouth and nothing useful comes out.
-
Stuck
You quit, thinking the language isn't for you. But that's not true!
Our approach is different.
Runa is designed to strengthen all core language abilities - reading, listening, writing and speaking - in a continuous feedback loop.
-
Start
One system that adapts to what you do next.
-
Reading
Level-matched content you actually finish.
-
Listening
Words return in new contexts until they stick.
-
Writing
Produce what you just learned.
-
Speaking
Practice the gaps that block real talk.
-
Momentum
Feedback on all four skills. Clear progress.
Reading, optimized.
Atlas Runa tracks the words you know and recommends readings at the right level—so you can stop searching and start reading.
Tap any word
See its definition, save it as a flashcard, and get an explanation of how it works in the sentence.
Read at the right level
Reading recommendations adapt to what you know, keeping each reading at the right amount of challenge.
Learn beyond flashcards
Words you struggle with return across readings and practice until they stick.
A huge library of content
Explore stories, practical situations, and nonfiction—or import your own EPUBs and podcast audio for interactive study.
Check your understanding
Quizzes and exercises reveal what you understood and what needs another look.
Look inside
Tools for every language skill
Summarize what you just read or heard. Atlas Runa marks the mistakes, explains them, and asks you to rewrite.
Summarize in the language
A short source passage, then you write. The first draft is supposed to be messy — that is the point.
See the correction, then rewrite
Atlas Runa strikes through the error, shows the fix, and asks for a cleaner version. Repeat until it sticks.
Grammar in your sentence
Explanations attach to the words you actually wrote: gender, particles, verb forms, word order.

1 / 3
Your goals. Not a fixed track.
Steer recommendations toward a vocab list, a book, an exam, a TV show you want to watch. The feed shifts so those words reach you first, in context, until they stick.
Or leave it on autopilot. Atlas Runa chooses what comes next based your progress level, at the right level of challenge.
Start making real progress
Read, listen, write, and review from one focused study hub that adapts to you.
FAQ
Common questions
Atlas Runa is an adaptive language learning app that turns what you read, miss, save, review, drill, and write into the next useful lesson. It combines reading, vocabulary review, targeted practice, listening, video, and writing in one study hub shaped by your level, goals, and recent work.
You study in the app or browser extension, and Runa updates the words you know, words you are learning, weak spots, interests, and goals. When you sit down again, it recommends a focused mix of reading, review, drills, listening, video, and writing from a focused study hub.
Atlas Runa supports Italian, Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, and German, with more on the way.
Atlas Runa is for learners at every level — beginner (A1) through advanced (C2) — who want a clearer path to real fluency. For Chinese and Japanese, absolute beginners may find it best to cover the basics first; once you have a foundation, the platform is a great fit. It is especially useful for learners stuck on the intermediate plateau, where more exposure alone is not enough and you must combine the 4 skills required to break through to fluency.
Atlas Runa is NOT for people who want loads of gamification, simple multiple choice questions, or believe you can "become fluent in 3 months as easy as a child." We want our users to enjoy making real progress without wasting time on empty exercises. Real fluency requires practicing the 4 core skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking. Our system aims to make that as efficient and enjoyable as possible — without fluff.
Atlas Runa looks at your level, saved words, lookups, review history, missed forms, writing attempts, and goals. The study hub keeps the next useful reading, review, drill, listening, video, or writing path close at hand, near the edge of your level: not so easy that nothing changes, and not so hard that you drown.
No. Atlas Runa does not need your whole past before it can help. Start with any study mode, and Runa begins adapting from what you do next.
No. Spaced review is important in Atlas Runa, but we measure much more than when you last saw a card, such as what words you merely recognize vs. what words you can produce. Spaced repetition cuts across reading, listening, drills, and writing, so that saved and missed language returns in richer contexts than a flashcard deck. Lessons are customized to your precise level and continuously adjusted as your level, weak spots, and interests change.
Yes. Goals like a word list from an exam, teacher assignment, book, or native TV show can shape future practice.
With the browser extension, outside reading and video activity updates the same language map, so the article you read, the word you looked up, or the show you tried can inform later practice.
Atlas Runa has an AI tutor, Runa, as part of its adaptive learning system. Based on decades of first-hand experience learning languages, we apply AI where we believe it will help the most: shaping content, practice, and feedback around your learning level and helping answer your immediate questions, such as breaking down the grammar of a sentence.
Native phone and tablet apps are coming soon, iOS first. For now, Atlas Runa runs in a modern browser, including on mobile.
