PubMed.gov 用 BiomedBERT 探索研究论文之间的关联
PubMed.gov using BiomedBERT to explore connections between research articles
美国国家医学图书馆(NLM)在 PubMed 上试点推出 Linked Discoveries,用 BiomedBERT 帮助用户探索论文摘要与周边文献的关联。
The initial phase of Linked Discoveries™ is an experimental pilot resource developed by the National Library of Medicine (NLM) that helps users explore how articles with PubMed® abstracts connect to the surrounding literature. Linked Discoveries creates neighborhoods of related articles, highlights shared conditions, genes, and chemicals across the neighborhood, and surfaces context like NIH funding, citation relationships, retractions, and reviews.
Linked Discoveries uses data from PubMed, along with related condition, gene, and chemical data linked from other NLM databases like Gene, MedGen, and PubChem®.
Explore Linked Discoveries using the example articles below or by finding the Linked Discoveries button on a PubMed abstract. See the User Guide to learn more.
Supporting replication and reproducibility of biomedical research
Confidence in science depends in part on whether research findings are replicable and reproducible. It also depends on how individual findings relate to the broader body of evidence. Relevant studies can be difficult to discover. Prominent or highly cited findings may receive disproportionate attention while contradictory, null, or otherwise less prominent findings can be easier to miss.
Linked Discoveries is being developed to help address these challenges. In its initial phase, Linked Discoveries helps users explore the literature surrounding a PubMed citation by surfacing related articles, shared topics, retractions, reviews, and other scientific context. Future phases are intended to develop capabilities that more directly support replication and reproducibility by helping researchers discover, assess, and understand the broader body of evidence represented in the scientific literature.
Linked Discoveries is still under active refinement, with ongoing exploration of new features and functions planned for future releases. We invite you to try Linked Discoveries, explore a topic of interest to you, and share your thoughts using the Feedback button on any Linked Discovery page. Your feedback will help us shape where this pilot goes next!
